We Don’t Partner With Just Anyone. Here’s Why.
Mouse Counselors is one of fewer than 30 Platinum and Diamond EarMarked by Disney agencies in the country. We did not get there by growing fast. We got there by growing with glorious intentionality.
We launched in 2008 with a single owner/advisor. It took us years to get to a few dozen, and more than fifteen years to assemble the team we have today. Every step of that growth was deliberate. We have never chased headcount, and we are not about to start.
We receive thousands of applications every year. We partner with very few of those applicants. But here is what matters: we are not looking for a specific resume or a perfect background. We are looking for a certain type of person. If you have the drive, the network, and the willingness to build something real, your application will stand out. The advisors who end up partnering with us almost always know they belong here before we even start this incredible venture together.
What we offer in return is real:
We are not the perfect fit for everyone, and we are fine with that. If you are serious about building a real travel business, not a side project you check on when you feel like it, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
You do not need to be a Disney superfan to build a great business here. Some of our strongest advisors have no interest in booking Disney at all. They sell luxury resorts, cruises, and international travel through Counselors Travel and do extremely well.
But if you want to sell Disney destinations, that is a different conversation. Disney vacation planning is genuinely complex. Reservation systems, dining, park strategy, room categories, ticket structures, special events. Our clients expect an advisor who knows all of it, and they can tell immediately when someone does not. That level of fluency takes real experience. It is not something you pick up in a training webinar.
Either path can work. What matters is that you are honest with yourself about where you are and where you want to go.
We want to talk to you if:
- • You treat this like a business, not a hobby. Whether travel is your primary income or a serious side venture, you show up for your clients.
- • You can handle an emergency. If a client’s flight gets cancelled at 10 PM, you figure it out. Full stop.
- • You want to be around people who sell. Our advisors know how their numbers stack up. They celebrate each other’s wins, and use them as fuel. When someone on the team books a $40K trip, everyone else raises their game. That energy is baked into how we operate, and it makes everyone better.
- • You are coachable. We have systems that work. We need people willing to learn them before reinventing them.
- • You have a network. Friends, family, colleagues, your kid’s school directory. You need people to sell to on day one, not someday.
A Note on Expectations
This is an independent contractor role. You set your own hours, build your own client base, and run your own business under our umbrella. We provide the brand, the tools, the training, and the supplier relationships. You provide the hustle.
If you have read this far and still want in, complete the application below. We review every submission personally. Qualified applicants will hear from us within a few business days.
Before we get started
We need to confirm your location. We are not currently accepting independent contractors in every state.
